Mobile Home Moving Tips
Moving a mobile Home is a pretty major undertaking and there are many things the individual should know. What we offer here is not a complete list of items you should know but we will touch on the majors of moving a mobile home. We will be adding to this page constantly.
First, make sure the company you hire are professionals. Mobile home moving requires licenses, insurances and permits. It may require several different permits for municipalities, rural areas and highway areas that your home may be traveling through. This is just not a task an individual can handle themselves.
There is also much involved in disassembling the home if it is set up somewhere now and reassembling it in its new location. You may be able to cut your expenses by assisting in some of these areas if you have a talent in construction. Often an individual can remove and reinstall such items as trim work, decks, skirting, porches and other such items that your mobile home moving contractor will charge your for.
Also, the biggest question when moving a mobile home is about the contents of the home. The mover will usually allow the appliances to stay but will want everything else moved during the move.
